HELLO

Welcome to the blog of my Wild Flower Meadow for 2015.
A bit late starting this year due to nasty persistent virus that was so difficult to eradicate.
Sadly this may be the last year I may be keeping a blog for my meadow . The house and acre of land will be going on the market in the not too distant future . The new owners may put the land back to grazing or development who knows .
I sincerely hope not.
I hope it will be as loved and nurtured as It has been since I started it in 2006
In the mean time I will endeavour to keep the blog up to date with lots of pictures showing how the plants and wildlife play out in 2015 .I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I do producing it.
Please pop back from time to time to see the new additions and feel free to add any comments

Sorry Mr Mole RIP

Since the beginning of the year I have had great problems caused by a mole he has left huge mole hills in the garden and meadow .These all would need clearing before I could cut the grass.

Mole Hill
Then he moved into the vegetable garden burrowing up and down my herb bed . strawberry bed. and then began  turfing out cauliflowers and cabbages. Last weekend he had my tearing my hair out when he got under the footings of the greenhouse and was tunneling away through the potatoes and broad beans.I didn’t want to kill him just for him to move away
Flossie Hunting
After all why not play in the farmers 25 acres instead of my garden
The Hole where Mole was dug out
Yesterday I found him dead on the grass flattened and slightly sucked.Flossie had dug him out and jumped on him. That  is why he's a bit flat and slightly sucked but no sign of him being bitten .Sorry Mr Mole but you weren't a match for a 100 lb plus Japanese Akita

Mr Mole Dead
So Flossie had suceeded were my Euphorbias had failed.I just hope now there is not a whole mole family to carry on the devastation
Sorry Mum it was me
